DOES HE CARE?

READ: MATTHEW 6:25-34
One question believers have asked themselves whenever they are going through trouble is: ‘Does God care about me?’ Have you asked a similar question at any time? Are you asking that question right now? I bring you good news. Jesus cares for you. You are on your way to becoming like Him hence you have to go through the troubles, trials, persecutions, and difficulties you may be in now. Jesus care for you beyond your expectations.
A brother’s mother who had known the Lord suffered a stroke on her left side. Prayers were made for her, and within one month, she could get up and walk. In fact, whenever she walked, she was virtually running. Her recovery was seen as the hand of God. Gradually, her understanding started to return to her, as incoherence in her speech reduced. On his way to school, he stopped by to pay her a visit and pray with her. Little did he know that would be his last time of meeting her alive. By the time he returned home after his exams some hundreds of miles away, his wife broke the news of the passing on of his mother to him.
She was apprehensive knowing how much he loved his late mother. The brother broke down and began to cry and ask, ‘Lord, why would you take her now? Afterall, we (her children) have not been able to do any thing for her, after all the years of her suffering for us.’ Then the Lord told him, ‘Can you take better care of her on earth, than I am doing right now?’ With that, the brother repented and was truly comforted.
Jesus cares for you. He knows when your house rent is due. He knows to prevent embarrassment you need to pay your school fees or those of your children. The One who cares for the birds of the air has not forgotten He created you in His own image. Tears, worry and anxiety cannot help. Jesus says you should rejoice because He will soon help overcome those problems (John 16:33). He says come to Him in faith and receive the rest He has reserved for you (Matthew 11:28-30).
1 Peter 5:7 says cast all your worries, and cares on the Lord in prayer and leave them there. He will surely make a way for you. He is always with you and He cares for you. Call on Him now.
MEMORIZE: 1 PETER 5:7 –Casting all your care upon Him; for He cares for you.
