NEBUCHADNEZZAR AND RESTORATION

READ: DANIEL 4:28-37

What appear most difficult for mortals is the easiest with the Almighty God. If God could restore Nebuchadnezzar to greatness, your case will not be too hard for Him. King Nebuchadnezzar ruled in Babylon. God expanded his coast and he conquered several other countries which came under his domain. God even allowed Judah, is people, to be carried away as captives to the land of Babylon.
One day, king Nebuchadnezzar took stock of his vast kingdom spanning virtually the then known world and beat his chest, attributing his glory and achievements to self effort and power. He did not even leave as much as one percent credit to God, so he provoked God to anger through his words.
God warned him through a dream of an imminent judgement which was clearly interpreted to him by Daniel. Yet he remained adamant for a whole year before the judgement was executed. Suddenly, Nebuchadnezzar, once the most powerful man on earth, was dethroned and driven into the forest. His form and reasoning were changed into that of the beast. He remained in that state for seven years.
At the end of the period, he lifted up his eyes to the Most High God and God restored his understanding. Immediately, his ability to think like a human being was restored. Even though he was still an animal, he began to thank and praise God for being merciful to him. Some people would have challenged God for His seeming meanness and wickedness; but not Nebuchadnezzar.
He continued to praise and extol God’s person, power and dominion and as he did this, his body began to change into that of a human being. He was sought for and enthroned and he became greater than before. What have you lost? It could have been through a little disobedience, sin or pride. Do you know that if you can repent and begin to thank God for all He has done for you and continue to praise His name, he will restore what you have lost? And even add some unique extras?

MEMORIZE: 1 CHRONICLES 29:12 –Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; in Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.
