READ: JOEL
2:23-25
“So I will restore to
you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the
consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among
you.” (Joel
2:25).
Every good thing you have lost, the Lord will restore in the mighty name of Jesus. God is the God of Restoration, because He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End.
The mission of the devil is to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). In short, it is to ‘take away.’ But in that same verse, Jesus declares that He has come to ‘give’. This means that Jesus is working contrary to the devil in your life. And that is why I know that every good thing Satan has taken away from you and your family, Jesus will restore this day.
Jesus is the Almighty and, because of this, He is able to restore in quality, quantity and beyond our expectations. To restore in quality means returning the exact thing you lost. For instance, He can restore the job you lost in the same office. He can make that organization which denied you that juicy contract to send urgently for you and award the same contract to you. He can also restore life to your lukewarm spiritual state.
To restore in quantity means no matter how many years you have remained in the same position without promotion, He can restore you to the actual level you ought to be. Also, all your wasted or so called ‘lost’ years can be restored to you as was done to the Shunammite woman (2 Kings 8:1-6). Have you been barren for years? By the time the Lord restores to you your lost years, you will sing the song in Isaiah 54:1.
Rejoice, for your restoration is on the way!
