DANIEL 6:1-4, 16-23
Faith is
very powerful. It is the currency by which you can obtain any blessing of your
desire from the Store House in Heaven. The presence of active faith in your
life activates angelic beings to come and minister to your needs.
From our reading, we see another exploit of faith. Faith can shut the mouths of lions. Some presidents and princes who ruled under King Darius became envious of the excellency of Daniel. To bring him down, they came up with a decree they were 100 percent certain he would break. And he did. Then he was thrown into the den of hungry lions. But God intervened and Daniel was unhurt. Praise God.
Satan is very wicked. Just as he propelled the presidents and princes to device and promulgate a decree in order to destroy Daniel, he could provoke the government to place a ban on your line of business just to cripple your business. He could manipulate things and stop a particular set of students from graduating for years just because he wants to get at a particular person. Whatever scheme the devil devices against your life will not succeed in Jesus Name.
“...So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.” (Daniel 6:23b)
The lions in the den were very active and hungry. This is obvious going by their response to the next set of visitors after Daniel. So why did they not eat up Daniel? It was because of Daniel’s faith. He believed in God that no lion could eat him up and he entered and came out of the lion’s den alive and unhurt.
There are several lions attempting to tear you or your home in pieces. But through your faith in Christ, they will end up tearing themselves. Those who plan your destruction this year will end up becoming the victims. Those who dig up pits for you will be buried there. If only you can believe in God, no lion will be able to eat you up.
