SUBDUING KINGDOMS

READ: DEUTERONOMY 2:24-25

Hebrews 11:33 talks of some heroes of faith “who through faith subdued kingdoms.” This means that no nation or kingdom can withstand the child of God who is ready to exercise his or her faith.
When Israel departed from slavery after over 400 years, the Egyptians rose against them with the intention of enslaving them a second time. But the Israelites trusted in God and through their faith, the enemies drowned in the Red Sea. Do you know that whenever God gives you victory over a problem, for instance, rising and falling in your spiritual walk with Him, Satan will relaunch his missiles to get you back into his prison? The good news is that through faith in Christ, you can overcome such fresh satanic initiatives.
On their way to the Promised Land, the Israelites faced several nations and kingdoms in battle. One of them was Jericho. Going by its highly formidable wall, there was no hope of overcoming it. But through faith in God, the walls fell flat by invisible hands. Faith in God invites invisible heavenly forces to intervene in your physical challenges. In the same vein, God gave them victory over Ai, some associated kingdoms and all those who lived in the Promised Land until then. These conquests were by faith.
Believe it or not, there are several battles you have to fight and win before getting where the Lord is taking you this year. If you respond by sight, you will quake in fear because of the strength and make-up of your enemies. But if you look up to God and boldly arise in faith, you will be victorious.
“See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant.” (Jeremiah 1:10).
The Lord has empowered you for victory over seen and unseen forces (Luke 10:19). Arise and fight.

MEMORIZE: JEREMIAH 1:10 – See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant.
