REASONS FOR THANKING GOD

READ: PSALM 32:1-2
According to Psalm 100:1-5, another reason for thanking God is because we are His people. “But now thus says the LORD that created you. O Jacob, and He that formed you, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name; you are Mine” (Isaiah 43:1). Verse two says because we are God’s people, our preservation through waters, rivers and fire of affliction is guaranteed. We should thank God because we are His sheep. If we are, it follows, that He is our Shepherd. We should thank God for His goodness. He does not think evil of us (Jeremiah 29:11). Thank God for His everlasting mercy towards you and your family. Thank God for His truth endures forever.
Psalm 103:1-5, also gives us further reasons for thanking God. Thank God for your salvation. Thank Him for forgiving all your sins. Thank Him for healing all your sickness and diseases. Also thank Him for delivering you from accidents and death. Thank Him for crowing you with loving kindness. Appreciate His tender mercies upon your life. Thank Him for satisfying you with good things. Psalm 68:19 says, “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits even the God of our salvation. Selah.” Thank God for renewing your youth like the eagle’s.
Thank God that you are among the chosen few (Matthew 20:16). Also thank Him for making you royalty. Thank Him for the benefits of being a king and priest to God (Revelation 1:5-6). Thank Him for making you part of a holy nation. Appreciate God for making you peculiar (very special). You have enjoyed several benefits because you are peculiar to God. From Colossians 1:30, thank God for calling you out of darkness. Also thank Him for bringing you into His marvelous light. Anyone who knows how to count his or her blessings will know how to praise God. Use each of these twenty-one reasons to appreciate God. If you can thank God regularly, you will continue to have what to thank Him for.
MEMORIZE: ISAIAH 43:1 –But now thus says the LORD that created you. O Jacob, and He that formed you, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name; you are Mine.
