TERROR TO ENEMIES

READ: PSALM 46:1-3
The size of the satanic army that is sent against you reflects Satan’s level of fear and regards for you. To arrest Elijah, king Ahaziah sent a captain and fifty soldiers. This shows Elijah was highly respected and feared. A single command from his tongue was more dreaded and devastating than the whole of Israel’s army with all their weapons of war. One possible reason king Ahaziah had to send the army batch by batch was for the fear of loosing the entire army to a single pronouncement from Elijah. Anointed words are more powerful than the most sophisticated weapons. This is where God want you to be. The Lord will take you there in Jesus name.
In 2 Kings 1:9-10, when the army came to arrest Elijah, the captain called him a man of God. Then Elijah asked fire to fall if he was actually man of God. And fire fell. Elijah was simply saying that he was assured of victory because he belonged to God. Enemies may take the arm of flesh, but we have the arm of the Lord. Although the situation is so bad that even the mountains appear to move from their locations, there is no reason to fear; your Refuge and Strength, the Almighty God will see you through. “No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgement you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of Me, says the LORD” (Isaiah 54:17)
Many Christians frequently quote this promise but fail to observe the condition attached to it. For God to fulfil this promise in your life, you must run away from sin and serve God with all your heart. Some people call the name of Jesus but nothing happens because they use it as a magic wand, without belonging to Him. Like Elijah, there are times you need to call on God to show Himself and demonstrate His power. If you have a heart that obeys and seeks after Him, he will show up. In Numbers 16, Moses asked God to show up over the revolt of Korah, Dathan and Abiram and the earth opened up and swallowed them. Everything rebelling against God’s perfect plan for your life will be swallowed up in Jesus name.
MEMORIZE: DEUTERONOMY 2:25 –This day will I begin to put the dread of you and the fear of you upon the nations that are under the whole heaven, who shall hear report of you, and shall tremble, and be in anguish because of you.
