VISION OF CHANGE

READ: EXODUS 3:1-12
“Then said I, Woe is me! For I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for mine eyes have seen the king, the LORD of hosts” (Isaiah 6:5).
One look at God’s glory can change your mindset, perspective to life and commitment to the Lord. The vision of God’s glory that will change your life is coming your way. In Exodus 3:1-12, Moses at the age of 80 saw the burning bush that was not consumed and his life never remained the same. The one who was preparing for retirement suddenly discovered that the ministry he tried but failed to start 40 years earlier had just begun. The one who thought he had been forgotten by God discovered that God had reserved an important place for him. It was easy for Moses to deal with Pharaoh because his shepherd’s rod became God’s rod.
“Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2). There are several benefits derived from receiving a divine vision. According to the above verse, it enables you endure whatever comes your way. Believers are still in human form hence they are subject to discouragement and serious pressure. A divine vision strengthens faith and keeps you committed to the Lord is spite of unpleasant events. Jesus endured the shame and pains of the cross because He was shown His day of glory. He could see that His place as the “name above all names” was awaiting Him after all the sufferings.
Do you know that God has equally reserved for you some special rewards that could cause you to faint for joy? May you have a divine vision today. Galatians 6:9 says you should never succumb to the pressure to resign, faint or discontinue your service to the Lord. Some Christians are discouraged that their pastors or leaders do not appreciate their efforts, sacrifice, time and monetary investments. As a result they want to call it quits. Don’t. You are not working for your pastor but for the Shepherd and Bishop of your soul. He knows every effort and sacrifice made to enhance His kingdom. He keeps them in His record and someday, He will reward you beyond your expectations. His welfare package for workers is the best ever. Stay on.
MEMORIZE: EXODUS 3:3 –And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
