WHY BREAKTHROUGH TARRIES?

READ: ACTS 3:6-8
The lame man at the Beautiful gate is an example of someone who resisted a positive change for so long. He was carried from place to place and lived on asking alms for 40 years. One day, he came in contact with Peter, and through the intervention of the Holy Spirit, he had his breakthrough and was never carried again. Peter also had his breakthrough as miracles never ceased to follow him. You will receive your breakthrough today in Jesus name.
What do you consider a breakthrough? A breakthrough can relocate you from crawling to flying, from begging to abundance, from weeping to jubilation. A breakthrough will relocate you from grumbling to praising God. Some believers give so much room to grumbling. About 90% of those who desire to see the G.O. use such forum to grumble about God. It is very rare to see someone who wants to see the G.O. just to share with him what God is doing. There should be a change of attitude. If you keep seeing what God has not done but fail to acknowledge what He has done, you risk blocking your chances for more blessings and even a withdrawal of those blessings you failed to see. Don’t wait until you lose your blessings before learning your lesson.
Why did this lame man wait for 40 years to get his breakthrough? First, he had become conditioned to sitting on one spot. Anytime you are not moving up or down know you have approached a danger point. Stagnancy stinks. Never feel at home with anything God did not put into you or else it will stay for long, or even for life. Reject that unpleasant state of health, frustration in your office, etc. another reason for delay was because he accepted survival instead of revival. This is true of most people today. Many accept just any job, or read just any course of study in school and in the process miss out on God’s ideal blessing for them. Satan is always offering something less than what God has already offered. Reject it! The man resigned himself to fate. Fate has nothing to offer you except what you decide to make it. If you do nothing about that problem, it will remain there. The man said the wrong prayer. For 40 years, he was praying that God should daily lead him to rich person who will favour him financially. He never asked to be healed. Lastly, his focus was on man. His hope was in man not God. His breakthrough therefore was out of God’s mercy. Are you waiting for a man to help you? Help from man is vain. Focus on the Lord and adjust your prayer points and you will obtain your breakthrough.
MEMORIZE: JAMES 4:2 –You lust and have not; you kill and desire to have, and cannot obtain; you fight and war, yet you have not because you ask not.
