In Genesis 12:1-3, God
gave Abraham seven promises with three conditions he must fulfil. Over a period
of time, all those promises were fulfilled. If you are a seed of Abraham, all
the promises God made to him are equally yours. As long as you are obedient to
God, you can go to the Bank of Heaven and make a withdrawal of your blessings
through the Abraham’s Seed Credit Card. In Luke 13:11-17, the woman who was
bent all over and could not unbend herself for 18 years finally got her healing
in the temple. The basis for her healing was because she was a daughter of
Abraham. Their religious leaders who opposed her healing because it was on the
Sabbath were put to shame for that same reason.
“And Jesus said to him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham” (Luke 19:9). When Zacchaeus encountered Jesus at Jericho, in the midst of the protests and murmuring of the crowd about his sinfulness, Jesus saved him and his family because he was a son of Abraham. Are you truly a child of Abraham? Like people opposed the healing of the woman and the salvation of Zacchaeus so also do they oppose believers today. Do you know that close associates and acquaintances could be those opposing and hindering your promotion, breakthrough, divine favour and good desires? Usually such oppositions do not come as a lone voice but as a crowd of organized opposers.
Some Christians experience delay in obtaining their blessings because of such organized oppositions. God knew such oppositions would come so He provided a way of escape. If you come into Jesus Christ by confessing and forsaking your sins and receiving Him as your Lord and personal Saviour, you will be saved. By virtue of this, you will become a seed of Abraham and be issued the Abraham’s Seed Credit Card. As a result you can condemn all dissenting voices (Isaiah 54:17). Jesus can go before the Father’s throne and tell Him to shun all voices that are opposing His good plan for your life because you are now worth some credit. If you go back to sin, you lose your Abraham’s Seed Credit Card. You can only draw on it as long as you remain in Christ.
