READ: PSALM 126:5-6
If the world’s richest
man promised to pay you $ 1000000 for every soul won and followed up until the
fellow is established in Christ, what will you do? I am sure you will become
very busy fishing for souls. Infact, some people will dump their present
secular jobs for this new highly rewarding assignment. There will also be a
scramble for souls as people will want to win more souls since the more the souls
won, the more millions of dollars will roll in.
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (2 Corinthians 4:17). God is the Greatest Employer of labour in the universe. He pays better than any employer or organization. In the course of performing any secular assignment, workers encounter some inconveniences. For a child of God, as you work in God’s vineyard you will meet with certain inconveniences such as persecutions, denials of the flesh, trials, etc. These are spiritual industrial hazards. The inconvenience allowance alone for such unpleasant experiences is so much that the above scripture calls it an “exceeding and eternal weight of glory”. This means for being abused because of your faith in Christ, what heaven will pay you will be so much that you would not be able to carry it. Not to talk of the pay for the main job – which is soul winning.
If you can’t become an earthly president, king, minister or senator in your nation, you have not lost anything. You still have an opportunity of becoming a king who reigns with Jesus Christ for 1000 years and throughout eternity. As you win souls to Christ, you will not only receive a soul winner’s crown, the number of souls won will determine the number of stars that will decorate your crown. The glory you will radiate, no earthly king or president can never experience it. God is offering you something greater than $ 100 trillion for each soul you win. What you can’t become on earth, you can become in heaven. How many souls have you led to Christ that you are sure will make it to heaven? Nobody will hinder you on this matter. You are the one to determine the level of greatness you want to enjoy in heaven. Go after souls today!
