READ: PSALM 19:12-14
Some people are engaged
in secret battles. They might be physical or spiritual. They might have been
for years and probably almost wearing out their host. They might be such that
cannot be shared with others, not even one’s spouse. Do you have such a secret
battle? As you yield your life to Christ and surrender that battle to Him, He
will take it over in Jesus name.
A young lady once came to me for prayers. When I asked her what the problem was, she said I did not need to know the exact issue since God already knows and that I will get to know by the time she is giving her testimony. I learnt something from this. Some of us do not feel at ease until we have reeled off every detail of a problem to the pastor as if he is the miracle worker. Jesus Christ is the miracle worker and He already knows your problem before you ask (Matthew 6:32). I prayed with her and she returned with smiles six months later to testify. She said at 23 she was still bed-wetting. As a result of this, she never spent the night outside her home, no matter how much she wanted to. If not, even if it had been for a night, her secret of several years would have been exposed. But since the day we prayed, her ‘water’ bed has become dry. Have you been battling with a natural ‘water’ bed? From today you bed will be dry in Jesus name.
While some secret battles are biological, others are inflicted by demonic forces. In 1 Samuel 17:47, God assures you that whatever secret battle you are fighting is His. From today, the Lord will fight your secret battles in Jesus name. There was a wealthy 50 year old principal, he had everything but he was single. Was he impotent? No. Just that he could never sum up courage to approach any woman on the issue of marriage. Certain forces were in place to choke him whenever he planned to. One day, we had a programme in his town. He gave his life to Christ and the demons that were supervising that bondage were dislodged and chased away. Exactly six months afterwards, he was married. Not long after, his wife had a set of twin boys. Two years later, she had another set of twins – a boy and a girl. Every force of darkness supervising your secret battles are paralysed and sent out of your life today in Jesus name. The Lord of Host who never loses a battle will win the secret battles of your life. You are free from today. As you receive Jesus and His word today, your life will never be the same.
