GOD OF THE WEALTHY

READ: 1 TIMOTHY 6:9-12
“And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and that I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word” (1 Kings 18:36). Elijah in this prayer; addressed God as the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel. One thing that is evident here is that God does not hate the wealthy. He is the God of the wealthy as much that is of the poor. In fact, He is God of the poor so that He can absorb their poverty and replace it with His wealth (2 Corinthians 8:9). That is why I am sure you will not die in poverty. You shall flourish in Jesus name.
Abraham was greatly blessed by God according to Genesis 24:34-35. Some people still think wealth can block one’s way into Heaven. No. It is sin that can block your way (Isaiah 59:1-2). Some would refer to our reading saying, the love of money is responsible for most evils we see today, yet it is not limited to a particular class of people. There are poor people who love money and there are wealthy people who do not love money. Money on its own is not a sin; else God will not give it to His children (Ecclesiastes 5:19). Money is a defence, like wisdom (Ecclesiastes 7:12). We require money to propagate the Kingdom of God on earth. Hence He blesses His children today to expand His Kingdom. Without money Satan will frustrate the Gospel message. This is why you must flourish.
In Genesis 26 :12-14, we read that Isaac was very great. He was greater than Abraham. He was so greta that a whole nation envied him. You shall be very great. Your children shall exceed your greatness. But begin to lay the foundation of their greatness now. Genesis 30:43 says Israel (Jacob) exceeded both Abraham and Isaac in greatness. He was exceedingly great. This is a perfect example of greatness. If your children are not greater than you, it means you have failed in greatness. There must be a progression in greatness from one generation to another. For this to be, you must lay a solid foundation on Christ, holiness, Bible-based prosperity plan, sound education, prayer and Spirit-led investments.
MEMORIZE: 2 CORINTHIANS 8:9 –For you the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might be rich.

ETERNAL PLACEMENT

READ: LUKE 22:24-30
Earthly provisions are ephemeral but the heavenly ones endure throughout eternity. Hence our Lord Jesus Christ enjoins us to focus our labours on the heavenly (John 6:27). In Hebrews 10:34, Paul said the brethren were so committed to him that they did not mind losing their property knowing that they would gain them in Heaven in a greater way. What plans have you made to enable you be among the outstanding believers in Heaven? How much have you heaped up for yourself in your heavenly account?
How much you have in your account will determine quite a number of things. What you have will determine your rating, level or position in Heaven. This ranges from being a king (the Greatest) who would occupy thrones, to being the least (the impoverished but not poor class). The greatest deceit a believer can be subject to is to believe that all believers will be on the same level in Heaven. There is hierarchy in Heaven among believers and that is why you ought to work very hard now to get yourself in a good position. “To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame and am set down with My Father in His throne.” (Revelation 3:21).
What you have in your account will also determine your crowns. While some believers will have up to six crowns, some two or three, others may not have any. Also, what you have will determine your level of glory. According to Philippians 3:21, we shall wear a glorious body like the Lord Jesus Christ. This heavenly body will radiate glory (God’s brightness) depending on the position of each person. In addition, what you have in your account might determine the size of your mansion, its furnishing, fittings, finishing and the beautification of your grounds, etc.
During the
millennial reign, believers will be assigned political position on earth as they co-reign with Christ. Your position will be determined by what you have in your account according to our reading. Your position millennial reign in the eternal reign with Christ will equally be determined by what you have in your account. This is a case of one stone killing several birds. Take your heavenly account seriously today. Go for souls, sow seeds into God’s house, obey God’s word, and load your accounts today.
MEMORIZE: REVELATION 3:21 –To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame and am set down with My Father in His throne.

FROM TENANT TO LANDLORD

READ: 2 CHRONICLES 20:16-21
This year, you are in for uncommon breakthroughs in Jesus name. However, how you respond to the word of God and regard His servant have ways of determining whether what God has spoken concerning you will be fulfilled. 2 Chronicles 20:20b says, “…Hear me, O Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall you be established; believe His prophets, so shall prosper.”
While ministering on December 31st several years ago, the Lord spoke to me saying, ‘There is somebody in the crowd who is having problem paying his rent. In the new year, he will become a landlord.’ Many who heard that word of knowledge did not pay attention to it. However, a young man who was a messenger in a particular organisation received the prophetic word and shouted a loud ‘Amen.’ He refused to limit his blessing to the unpleasant circumstances surrounding him. As work resumed in the new year, he decided to pay the Managing Director of his organization a visit. After exchanging pleasantries, his boss looked at him and asked, ‘What can I give to you?’ The question took him by surprise so he stammered, ‘Anything…sir.’ The Managing Director’s reply was a bolt from the blue.
He said, ‘I applied for government housing in the new estate and a house has been allocated to me there. I do not need it. Let me bless you with it. Here are the keys.’ This messenger received the keys as if he was in trance. He went to locate the apartment and discovered it was a beautiful house. Tears of joy filled his eyes. When he got to the office the following day, he fell on his knees before his Managing Director in appreciation. Then the Managing Director said he just remembered that there was no furniture in that new house, and because he changes his furniture every Christmas, he asked should be content with taking the old furniture and fittings in his house. He then asked his driver to move those things to the messenger’s house. This was how God built a house and furnished it for a messenger who couldn’t pay his house rent. God asked me to share this story with you and tell you that there is somebody who is reading this, who will not only become a landlord but a blessed owner of a housing estate. However, the Lord says when the miracle comes to pass, ensure you treat your tenants well. You will enter into your breakthrough. Believe and receive God’s word.

DEADLY DESIRE

READ: PSALM 78:25-31
Another quality of a virgin is undefilement. It is one thing to be pure and another to remain pure. The difference between being pure and being undefiled is that the undefiled has opportunity to be defiled but refuses. The undefiled faces temptations to sin but resists; like Jesus who was tempted in every point but remained pure (Hebrews 4:15). The day a virgin is defiled, the essence of virginity goes with it. How can defilement come?
According to 2 Peter 1:4, defilement (corruption) comes through the lust of the flesh. When a girl wants more than her parents can afford, she will defile herself. When a minister wants to become what God has not yet approved for him to be, he will defile himself. When you want to attain a particular height or level which God has not yet ordained for you, you will defile yourself. John 3:27 says, “John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given from heaven.” Do not take what God has not given you. It is either God is giving you something or Satan is. God’s gifts enhance your spiritual growth. Satan’s gifts kill your spiritual life. You cannot act in the spirit and in the flesh at the same time. God’s blessings add no sorrow but Satan’s blessings are disguised curses.
“For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness” (Psalm 107:9).
Anytime God granted people their fleshly lust, they got judgement instead of blessing (Psalm 106:13-16). The desires of the Israelites in the wilderness were mainly predicated on lust so they got leanness in their souls. They received meat contrary to God’s plan and many of them died as a result. May you not desire what will kill you. The virgin will keep himself undefiled. To remain undefiled, you will have to put a knife to your throat (Proverbs 23:1-3). You will not be carried away by what is in vogue. The desires of others will not affect yours because you want to jealously guard your salvation. Satan is seeking to defile and destroy you. Take care to avoid his baits.
MEMORIZE: 1 CORINTHIANS 10:6 –Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

SPIRITUAL HIV/AIDS

READ: JOSHUA 7:10-13
Before the fire of God’s approval and blessing fall, the broken altar must be repaired. The altar refers to the place where God meets with man in his heart. In 1 Kings 18:30-36, before Elijah could call for fire, He had to repair the broken altar in accordance with God’s word. You cannot meet God on your own terms. You must satisfy His laid down conditions to receive His approval. Repentance must precede divine intervention. Restitution must precede divine blessings. You cannot continue in sin and expect the blessings to flow (Romans 8:1-2). As long as the accursed thing was in the camp of Israel, the nation remained under defeat.
Obedience to God increases your power to subdue your enemies. Disobedience, on the other hand erodes that power. Many Christians who used to be terrors to their enemies are now being terrified by the same enemies, because they have compromised their consecration to God. Little by little, they have withdrawn their Nazarite vows of dedication from the altar of sacrifice. What is the state of your consecration today?
“O Lord, what shall I say, when Israel turns their backs before their enemies!” (Joshua 7:8).
To turn your back to your enemies is to run from them or be pursued by them. It is a curse. God promised that you shall see the backs of your enemies (Deuteronomy 28:7). Fleeing before your enemies shows there is an accursed thing in your life. From our reading, this is a dangerous state. Such a Christian will not be able to stand before his enemies. Joshua said if other nations hear of their defeat, they will come en masse to destroy Israel completely. This is true. Today we hear of HIV/AIDS. What happens to a person with AIDS is that his defence mechanism is completely broken down, thereby making that body the dump site of all kinds of diseases. Hence an AIDS victim faces a death sentence except for divine intervention. In the same way, when a Christian loses his ability to resist or withstand his enemies, his spiritual defence mechanism is totally broken down. Before long, all the enemies who were defeated in the past will begin to come and have a field day in that life. A case of spiritual AIDS. This can be prevented. Fish out the accursed thing(s) and destroy it so that your defence mechanism can be rebuilt.
MEMORIZE: JOSHUA 7:8 –O Lord, what shall I say, when Israel turns their backs before their enemies!
