SURE COVER

READ: 1 KINGS 18:7-10
When Elijah was instructed by God to present himself to Ahab after three years of hiding, he met Obadiah who told him they have been looking for him from one nation to another. Elijah sent him to tell king Ahab that he was around. From this story we learn that every child of God who is filled with the Holy Spirit should be bold to challenge demons, witches and wizards. When God is behind you, you have nothing to fear. Who is that person threatening you today? Boldly rise up and confront your Goliath and your mountains in the name of Jesus, and the Lord will take it over.
While Elijah was enjoying himself in the house of the widow, people were busy searching for him from country to country. This means that when God hides you, nobody can find you (Proverbs 18:10). The son of a leader of witch doctors in a particular town gave his life to Jesus. His conversion attracted the anger of the witches there. With the consent of the boy’s mother, they sent a dog heavily armed with charms to kill him. That night the Holy Spirit led the boy to begin to pray. Then the dog entered the house which was securely locked. The boy shouted ‘Jesus’ and the dog dropped dead. The following morning the witches saw their targeted victim roasting the dog! Every satanic dart sent against you shall be roasted in Jesus Name.
According to Psalm 27:1-5; in the time of trouble, the Lord will hide you where nobody can see you. Troubles will not locate you. The Lord can hide you in several ways: He can surround you with His angels (Psalm 34:7). He can cover you with His feathers (Psalm 91:4). He may blindfold your enemies (2 Kings 6:18-19). He can surround you with a wall of fire (Zechariah 2:5). He can surround you with an invisible row of mountains (Psalm 125:2). He can occupy your enemies with a problem (1 Samuel 23:26-28). He can also paralyze your enemies (Psalm 23:5). The enemies you fear will see your back; the enemies you face will show you their backs. Stop running in fear. Start trusting God. Openly confront your tormentors in the name of the Lord and begin to torment them. The Lord is your sure cover. Fear not.
MEMORIZE: PSALM 34:7 –The angel of the Lord encamps round about them that fear Him, and delivers them.
