SINGLE MAJORITY

READ: ACTS 3:11-19
“Then said Elijah to the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men” (1 Kings 18:22).
Elijah summoned 450 prophets of Baal to come and prove the power of their god while he stood alone on the side of the Lord. This was a courageous act borne out of his experience with the One who is his backbone, whom none of his opponents could see. One with God is a majority anyday, anytime and anywhere. You may be the only Christian in your village, family, office or school, yet you are not alone. If the Almighty God is with you, you automatically out-number the enemies. The Lord will promote you above them.
“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8 :31). If God is on your side, you are assured of victory over your enemies irrespective of their number, strength or weapons. When Satan rebelled against God, he lured away one third of the angels. That leaves God with two-thirds. This means for every demon the satanic kingdom attacks you with, God supplies two angels to protect and defend you. Are you afraid of doing that project because numerically you are at a disadvantage? If the Lord has given you the go-ahead, know that you are not alone. The Lord of Host, with all His army is behind you to help start and finish it.
God is not relying on your strength. He knows it is very limited. He is not depending on your number. He is not depending on what you know. He is not depending on how fast or how rich you are. He is unlimited in all areas. All He wants is that you agree to let Him work through you. Then He will use you to defeat the hordes of hell. He will use you to liberate the captives. He will use you to confound the wise and win those who think they are unbeatable. He holds all the aces (Ecclesiastes: 9:11). Why not submit fully to Him today?
