KINGS 2:13-14
There are
different ways your showers of blessings can come upon you. It could take a
dramatic form like a mantle dropping from heaven right on your head. When the
mantle drops, it changes your destiny completely. This was what happened to
Elisha. He had known that there was a seed of greatness in him. He knew one day
God would locate him. It took the mantle coming upon him to usher him into his
realm of greatness. Suddenly, when he called, miracles would answer. Even his
colleagues who had earlier despised him had no choice but to recognise and
honour him. That seed of greatness you have haboured all these years will
receive a touch from the heavenly mantle and your greatness will know no limits
from now on.
The showers of blessings could come in a mighty and spectacular form as the Holy Spirit came upon Samson in Judges 14:5-6. Earlier, according to Judges 13:24-25, the Holy Spirit began to move him at certain times. The Lord began to tell him, ‘You are not an ordinary but a special child; God wants to do something unique in your life.’ Samson did not recognise how special he was until the day a lion came close and roared. Suddenly, the Holy Spirit came upon him and without fear and the thought of what to do next, he tore the lion to pieces, even without weapons. When the Spirit of God comes on you, there would be no need for physical weapons in destroying your enemies. You might have come close to death several times in the past but the Lord miraculously delivered you. It shows He has a plan for you.
The rainfall could also come in a way you never expected, just like Peter’s case (Luke 5:1-11). Peter never believed he would be great. He thought he would remain a fisherman for life. The day his rainfall came, he did not even realise it, having experienced days of intense toil without fruit. When Jesus asked if He could use his boat, he agreed thinking if the boat could not be useful in fishing at least it could serve as a pulpit for Jesus. As soon as he surrendered his boat, his life changed, his career took a different turn and he became a world champion. Your rainfall could come when you do not expect it. But may you not miss it when it comes. Are you hiding your boat from the Master’s use? Release it today!

enriched it with the river of God, which is full of water: You prepare them
corn, when You have so provided for it.
